Good Christian Citizenship Scholarship

2007-2008 School Year

 

A $500.00 tuition scholarship was awarded to fifth grader Nathaniel Tillson. This is the third year that Eastgate has presented the Good Christian Citizenship Scholarship to a deserving student.

May be awarded to any student in grades K through 7 who meets the following criteria: 

1.      DEMONSTRATES A POSITIVE ATTITUDE 

“A joyful heart makes a cheerful face”            Prov.: 15:13 

This student demonstrates a consistently positive attitude by radiating a cheerful disposition and a positive approach to life.

 

This student does not complain but is an encouragement to others.

 

            2.  SHOWS CONCERN FOR OTHERS BY HIS OR HER ACTIONS     

 

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself”      James 2:8

 

This student demonstrates a love and concern for others, both in the school and in the community.

 

This student treats others with respect, is polite, and is always willing to help others.

 

3.       ALWAYS DOES HIS OR HER BEST WHILE BEING THANKFUL

               

            “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord, rather than for men”

            Col. 3:23

 

            This student works hard, always striving to do his or her personal best.   At the same time, the student recognizes his or her talents and abilities are a gift from the Lord and is thankful for them.
