The Vision
It is the ministry of Eastgate Christian Fellowship to openly proclaim the Gospel, to reach out for the lost, and to make disciples of Jesus Christ. It remains our vision to build up the body of Christ, to equip the saints for work of service, and to train and teach men who can in turn teach others. Eastgate is a house of prayer, a house of study, and a house of worship. For our children, the school also serves as an effective house of education. Eastgate is a caring and nurturing Christian community made up of individuals who serve the Lord and each other in love.
The Blessing
Though we have come together from many different ages, interests and backgrounds, we have all been knitted together by the Lord. Many of us have experienced restored marriages, reconciled family relationships, personal healing and deliverance. Others have been set free from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Still others have overcome fear, anger and resentment, all through the power of the Holy Spirit. We have experienced atonement-salvation by grace, and the power to overcome sin in our lives. Now we seek to serve Him and thank Him by keeping His Word. We gather together for prayer and worship, to study the Word, to partake in the Lord's supper and to fellowship with one another. We believe the Bible. By walking in Its light we overcome the world as well as the traditions and precepts of men, which have too often contradicted and obscured the simple truths of the Scriptures. The Lord hasn't finished His work in us yet, but we're learning to overcome and to depend on Him more every day.
The Choice
The Gospel is the power of God for salvation, for all who believe. It is a treasure more valuable than silver or gold and is desperately needed today. Jesus the Messiah came to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and to open the prison doors to those who are bound. His disciples continue this ministry today.
