Laurie McKay Scholarship Award

2007-2008 School Year

For the seventh year, Eastgate Christian School has awarded the Laurie McKay Scholarship, which was established in memory of Mrs. McKay, to a student who demonstrates excellence in three areas:  service, character, and academics.  The student recognized must demonstrate an attitude of service within the local community, exhibit strong moral and spiritual character, and demonstrate a commitment to achieving his or her full academic potential.  Past recipients of the scholarship include Julia Bernard, Tristan Starbird, Sarah VanderLinden, Abigail Hersom, Isaac Stone and Samantha Davol.  This year, the $500.00 scholarship was awarded to Olivia Rottari, a seventh grader at ECS.  Olivia is the daughter of 

Robert and Jane Rottari of New Gloucester.
