Dear Parents:
The State of Maine – Bureau of Health established changes 2 years ago in immunization requirements. Specifically, students must show proof of Chicken Pox immunity. This requirement is being introduced incrementally for all students in grades K through 12.
To fulfill the State requirement, you must provide the school with documented proof that your child has either had Chicken Pox or received the Chicken Pox immunization shot.
The following schedule explains when proof of Chicken Pox immunity will be required for your student(s):
Grade Year required
