Teacher Biographies

 

Miss Julia Bernard This is Miss Bernard's first year as a full time teacher, but she has been involved in our school for much of her life.  After being a faithful volunteer, she is joining us as our Kindergarten/First grade teacher. Julia has been employed as a member of the Hannaford Management team for the past four years and continues to be a part of their leadership team. She is active in  Eastgate Christian Fellowship's worship band and relaxes with family and friends in her spare time. Favorite scripture: Ephesians 3:14-19.

 

Mrs. Adèle Cox

This is Mrs. Cox's twelfth year teaching at Eastgate.  She has been married for thirty-eight years and has three sons, four daughters, and eight grandchildren.  Adèle holds a degree from Mid-State College and believes that in raising her own children, she has learned how to help teenagers faced with the challenges of today's society.  Adèle spends her free time with her family,  especially her grandchildren.  Favorite scripture:  Philippians 4:6-8.

 

Mrs. Mary Rowe

Mrs. Rowe has taught classes here for eighteen years, after teaching in the public school for five years.  She earned her teaching degree at the University of Maine at Orono and is quite a Shakespeare fan.  Mary has been married for twenty-six years and enjoys gardening, art, and the theatre.  Favorite scripture:  Isaiah 54.

 

Mr. Ronald Giasson

Mr. Giasson has been Principal of Eastgate Christian School for seventeen years.  He holds a Business Education degree from Thomas College.  Ron has been married for thirty-four years and has two children and one grandson.  He likes to golf, read, bicycle, and exercise in his spare time.  Favorite scripture:  Psalm  119:105

 

Mrs. Jan McLellan

Mrs. McLellan has worked at Eastgate for thirteen years, starting as a fourth grade teacher and currently as our second grade teacher.  She previously spent twenty-five years with Verizon.  Jan has four children and four grandchildren.  She enjoys horseback riding and walking her dog, Katie.  Favorite scripture:  Proverbs 3:5,6.
